You know a book that claims to be based on humour and satire is going to be worth it when the author executes the claim from the very dedication and acknowledgement. Since the moment I opened the book till I finished it, I enjoyed it the same. The author’s ability to write with the creative intent from the first page is commendable.

This book is a collection of short stories based on mundane scenarios with a rare insight into each storyline. True to its title, the author has given a witty account of each scenario, turning them into light-hearted moments which could have turned messy otherwise. Starting from daily routine activities like ironing clothes to having a little chat with the neighbour to complex scenarios like getting diagnosed with rare disorders which turns you into a celebrity overnight to keeping a watch over the boss's locked house while they are staying away; everything has been explained hilariously. Who knew even physical and mental health problems could be narrated through a sharp-witted perspective without offending anyone?

The book is short and crisp with each chapter not longer than a few pages and makes you want to read more. The cover is apt with its depiction of the "happimess" scenarios. Most characters were very relatable and felt like day-to-day experiences with a twisted ending, or perhaps a beginning. Even with its hidden meanings and insights, the book is very lucid and strong.

What intrigued me and held me captive to the narration was how well each character was explained to be relatable even though the story was short. This book is much more than just wit, humour, and satire because each story has a deeper meaning if you have a closer look. Except for the same tone of narration maintained throughout the book, it was otherwise exceptional and original.

Some stories were overtly funny, making you break into a fit of laughter, while some were subtle, sardonic and absorbing. Much recommended for all readers, especially beginners, if you are looking for a short read that will inspire you to read more and if you want to get rid of a slump.

My favourite ones were:

From bad to sordid

Oh! Cd

Humans and electricals

The other stories were interesting as well but need a few reread to get into it completely. I hope the author writes more satire and humour in the future because that's one genre that's left with a lot to explore and we have very few top-rated books in this section.
