BOOK REVIEW

The time has come for me to share the long-awaited review of this brilliant nonfiction, which is a mix of memoir and self-help. Diving into the book's very first chapter, I knew it would be a banger, and that's how it indeed was. From the start to the end, it was so informative and engaging as the author shared her experiences during her divorce proceedings. I took my time finishing this book, as I wanted to savour it slowly because of its informative value and the traumatic experiences shared in it.

Apart from her own experiences, she has also included stories of women who faced prejudices by society and their struggles during their divorce journey. I felt every word the author shared deeply, as even reading this book out in the open did not come not judgment-free. I can only imagine the scrutiny these women would have faced. Whenever I thought there would be nothing more left to learn about divorce after completing a chapter, the author surprised me with more in the next.

The courage to open up about her past, the thought of sharing stories of other women she had met through her journey, the research that was done to provide data and guidance for women seeking help and the personal efforts she put in to make an impact on a larger scale were awe-inspiring the author has gained my admiration. This book is a must-read for everyone to understand the intricacies and prejudices that come with societal norms, especially if you are seeking guidance for a new phase of your life or if you feel alone after battling through divorce yourself.
